Obituary For Dianne Jean Rumbaugh

Rumbaugh, Dianne Jean, age 73, from Mt. Lebanon, passed away on December 12, 2020 from a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Donald C. and Catherine (Dougherty) Rumbaugh. She is survived by her brothers and sister, Don (Ann) of Hanover, PA, Paul (Rosanne) of Whitehall, PA, Kathy (Don) Burrows of Baldwin, PA, Tim (Christy) of Aberdeen, MD and Jamie (Heather) Rumbaugh of Aiken, SC. Also, survived by 19 nieces and nephews, 41 great-nieces and nephews, as well as loving cousins, the Hintz, Rupinsky, Piazza, Scott, Durschlag, Haines and Lucy families. In addition, she is survived by special friends, Edward Nazerath, Marcee and Keith Radokovich, Cheryl and Bill Kirschner, Dr. Juliet and the late Dr. Brian Jegasothy, Guy and the late Judy Santo, as well as caring neighbors. Dianne received an Associate Business Degree from Robert Morris University and a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Pittsburgh. She worked for over 40 years at UPMC Medical Center/ University of Pittsburgh, several as Administrator for Dept. of Dermatology. Dianne was a generous, kind and thoughtful person who loved traveling, reading, politics and music but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Visitation and services will be held privately. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. Due to the current public health crisis, masks and social distancing guidelines must be observed.

    I'm sorry to hear of Diane's passing. She was my first roommate, and I lost track of her through the years. She loved her family very much and always wanted the best for each of you. May you find comfort in all the happy memories you all share of her.

    Dianne was so kind and shared her house with me while I attended college. To this day when I see a bag of Oreos or watch a Lifetime movie I think of her. Just a beautiful person inside and out!
