Obituary For Dolores H. Blum

Our Mom, Dolores H. Blum, affectionately known as "Do" passed away at home on Friday, January 9, 2026, with her family and friends by her side.

She was the loving wife of the late George C. Blum for 71 years; she is survived by her daughter, Ellen J. Kisco of Whitehall, her son, Jeffrey G. Blum of South Park and her grandchildren, Molly and Gabe. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Robert Bonczek and sister, Flo Innes whom she enjoyed a lifetime of treasured times together. Blessed also with special nieces and nephews who provided a lot of joy. A nurse who chose to raise her children first; later was a private duty nurse for three prominent Pittsburgh families. We loved and admired many qualities our Mum had. Her fierce dedication to family; appreciation and admiration towards her friends; the biggest heart; and always wanting to see the good in all people. Her quiet elegance and grace leaned to positivity dismissing anything negative in the world. She and our Dad enjoyed all their adventures together - favorite family outings to Columbus, Oglebay, Cooks Forest, Rehoboth Beach and winters in Florida with her beloved sister Flo. Her signature lasagna always made the trips. Fond memories of her childhood homes in Canonsburg and McKeesport offered many shared stories. As our Aunt often joked, we were a dysfunctional family because we all got along and loved each other so much. We will miss you everyday and honor you forever. Thanks for being our Mom.
