Krawec, Dolores J. "D.J." Beloved wife of 43 years to Nicholas D. Krawec; loving mother of Michael, Jonathan “J.T.” and her other sons Robert Hunt and Ray Holmes; proud grandma of Ariauna Young; daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Jacobs; sister of Judith (the late David C.) Smith, Susan (John) Gourley, and the late Edward Jacobs and Mary Theresa Jacobs; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She graduated from Bishop Boyle High School and from both California University of Pennsylvania and Duquesne Law School. D.J. was extremely strong in her faith and very involved with her parish family; to name a few, as an organist, fish fry volunteer, CCD teacher, and numerous other activities. She was a substitute teacher for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh and was known for her contagious smile, melodic laughter, and caring heart. Friends received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, Thursday, January 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. where funeral prayer will be held on Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to unbound.org.
