Age 98, formerly of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at her home at Paramount Senior Living in Baldwin on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Dee was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Daniel K. Lamb; mother of Donna Lamb of New York City and Darlene (Tom) Paolo of Bethel Park; grandmother of Carla (Chris) Sweeney, Dena (Dave) Robinson, Anthony (Samantha) Paolo and Marco Marchesano; great-grandmother of six.

Dee was always ahead of her time. She graduated high school at the age of 16, went to business school and worked at Gulf Oil until, at age 21, she became an Air Hostess for TWA. She loved flying and traveling but the airline required her to resign when she married in 1948. Her endless curiosity made her an avid reader. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf but was happiest when she spent time with her family.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral prayer at 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Germaine Church at 12:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank the staff of Paramount Senior Living for the care and comfort they provided the last four years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to support lung transplantation.
