Age 95, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Irene E. (Orefice) Vecchio; loving father of Donald J. (Sheila) Vecchio, Jr., Lou Ann (the late David) Jeremko, Robert Vecchio and Susan (Thomas) Culyba; cherished grandfather of Toni Lynn, Amy, Stacy (Lloyd) and Jessica (Robert); proud great-grandfather of Chrisjan, Jocelyn, Grace, Isabella, Logan, Elora and Mila. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear neighbors. Vic proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Duquesne University and went on to enjoy a long career as a field engineer with Square D Co., where he dedicated more than 30 years before retiring. In his free time, Vic was an enthusiastic antique dealer and collector, and he never passed up the chance to try his luck playing the lottery. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15.
