Obituary For Donald Richard Russ, II

Age 68, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 of Brentwood.

Devoted father of Bryan Russ and Donald Richard (Kristen Czerniewski) Russ, III; grandfather of Julia Rose and Jackson Russ; son of the late Donald and Lorraine (Sundo) Russ; brother of Dedra A. (John) Girman, Dean S. Russ, Drew K. Russ and the late Dawnette Stine. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Services were private and handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.     Loved that man! Truly a great friend that Kathy and I will never forget. I'll always remember Donny coming to my Navy boot camp graduation with my parents way back in the fall of 1974. I will miss him always. Wish I could have had one more beer watching a Bucco game with Donny and Rocky and Cedrick at Characters. He was a Spartan Forever!

    I am so sad to learn of Dons' passing! I worked with his sister Dawnette in Eat n Park Whitehall. And it was amazing to me, that Don, his sisters Dawnette, Deidre, and I believe his brother, Drew, all were huge fans of David Bowie, even getting their hair styled just like his! I saw a concert of Davids' online and he was passing around to the audience a giant blow up Globe balloon. I was saddened when Dawnette passed away, and now, Don...to the rest of his siblings, I wish you all Comfort in this time of Sadness. Dan McSwiggen
