I remember Don from our years we spent in South Vocational High School (1955 thru 1959. He would pick his friends up in his 50 Chevrolet in Mt. Oliver and ride us to school. We usually just arrived about 2 minutes before the bell. Some times the sparking spots were few and too small on the streets. He would pull the front end in the spot and the 4 of us would drag the rear end into the spot. He was a quiet guy and we remained friends till this day. May God Bless him and take him home with him.

I met Don and Kathy at Trinity which was part of Pittsburgh Lutheran United Ministries. Don was a walking, talking history book when it came to anything about Trinity. He knew every nook and cranny of that huge building! He was dedicated to family and was sincere in his care about other people. He expressed his love and respect for Kathy in simple gestures of holding hands and shared warm smiles. He supported and affirmed my ministry calling. I will always remember him, he was a wonderful gentleman.
