Obituary For Donato DePasquale

DePasquale, Donato, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26, 2021, of Bethel Park, born in the town of Gamberale, Abruzzo, Italy. Beloved husband of 59 years to Iolanda M. (Sciulli) DePasquale; loving father of Maria (George) Wright and Donato "Dan" (Diane) DePasquale; grandfather of Phillip, Peter, Domenic and Nina; son of the late Domenico and Maria Camilla DePasquale; brother of Federico (Connie) DePasquale and the late Roberto A. (Giuseppina) DePasquale. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous dear friends. Donato came to the United States from Australia and ported in Hawaii in 1966. After making Pittsburgh his home, the DePasquale brothers started their own construction company and worked hard until his retirement. He was deeply proud of his Italian heritage and was a longtime member of the San Lorenzo Di Gamberale Club. He loved life and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, July 28th, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church at 10:00 a.m.
