Obituary For Donna J. (McCandless) Sirianni

August 11, 1936 - September 28, 2017

Sirianni, Donna Jean (McCandless) Age 81, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at her home in Whitehall, PA.

Preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret (Lessner) McCandless. She is survived by beloved husband, Nick Sirianni of 59 years; son, Scott (Cheryl) Sirianni; two grandchildren, Sean and Megan; cousins and many other relatives. Donna graduated from Oliver High School in Pittsburgh in 1954. After high school, she attended the Robert Morris Business College, which prepared her to work for Gulf Oil Company as a Comptometer Operator. Donna and Nick owned and managed the Gallery of Treats, an ice cream shop in Caste Village Shoppes for 25 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and a volunteer at the school library. Donna will be remembered as a loving, kind, friendly, and charitable person. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by burial at Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Gabriel School, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
