Obituary For Donna M. Dillon

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother Donna M. Dillon, age 73, of Bethel Park, who left us on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Wife of the late Thomas Dillon; mother of Adam (Heather) Dillon, Megan (Pat) Milas, and Sarah (Erik) Fichter; grandmother of Preston Dillon, Camden Dillon, Dillon Fichter, and Fallon Fichter; daughter of the late Wesley and Mae Weidman; and sister of Lou Kosanovich, Robert Weidman, and Ray Weidman. Full of love, energy, and resilience, she positively impacted the lives of all who knew her.

Donna lived a dedicated life to family and friends. As a mother and grandmother, she has left a mark of unwavering love, support, and guidance. As a hairstylist of 55 years, she touched the lives of many customers with her advice, listening ear, and open heart. She offered endless love to all whom she met and will be forever missed.

To commemorate her beautiful and bright soul and to celebrate the love she extended to all, a memorial mass will be held in her honor at St Valentine Catholic Church - Our Lady of Hope Parish, 2710 Ohio Street, Bethel Park, PA 15102 on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A wake will follow at the Jugo Slav Club, 5225 N Pennsylvania Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15102, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly loving woman. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave #1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

    I just learned today that my dear Donna passed away. When we moved to Pittsburgh in 1998 I continued traveling back to Atlanta to see my hairdresser. I always referred to him as "my Wes". A good hairdresser is like your best friend, you can easily talk to. I always referred to it as my therapy session when making appointments. I was hesitant to find a hairdresser in Pittsburgh until one day I received a package from the Welcome Wagon with a coupon for Bellingham's Salon . With no trips coming up to Atlanta I took the chance and made an appointment. That is when I met Donna. Our conversation flowed as we got to know each other. Donna was so upbeat and fun I went home with excitement and told Wayne "I found my Wes!" I continued my appointments with Donna for the next 24 years until we moved back to Atlanta. We shared our life stories about our children and grandchildren and family events through the years. Donna was a loyal friend who cherished her family. I know all who had the privilege of knowing her will truly miss her and remember her with a smile. My deepest sympathies to Adam, Megan and Sarah and those precious grandchildren she loved dearly.

    Mary Walsh

    I met this wonderful woman back in the 1970s. She was dating a friend of mine. Our friendship developed and soon we spent time together at pool parties at her apartment with some of the nicest people I met along the way. We traveled to Germany where I caught her love of travel bug. Always upbeat and always a smile. I'm so glad I became friends with this woman, and I'm so sorry for her family and friends that she is gone. Until we meet again. You will be missed. Mary Mastracci Walsh
