Obituary For Dorothy M. Kallist

December 1, 1936 - July 10, 2015

Kallist, Dorothy M. (McCloskey), age 78, on Friday, July 10, 2015 of Brentwood.

Beloved wife of Joachim Kallist. She is preceded in death by her beloved son William J. McCloskey, Jr. and Joe Von Kallist, Jr. and her sisters and brothers, Mary Meyer, Elizabeth George, Madeline Lynch, Deloris Schmiedlin, Anna Marie Blair, Kathryn Wuenschell, and John, Anthony, Christopher, Maurice, and Paul Talak. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy will be loved and missed by everyone whose life she touched. In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION. Interment is private. Arrangements entrusted to John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 333 E. Carson St., Ste. 441 Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or a charity of the donor's choice.

    Joe, Tom and I and the kids are so very sorry for your loss. We will miss Aunt Dorothy very much. She was a terrific person who was very loving and caring. Heaven gained an Angel! I will have many wonderful memories of her and how she welcomed me into the family so long ago. She not only was family, but a true friend. I will miss the e-mails from her.
