Age 94, peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, of Brentwood, formerly of Polish Hill.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Vilsack; loving mother of Carolyn Weber; proud G-ma of A.J. (Dara) Weber; sister of the late Carl (Barbara) Murawski; aunt of Mary (Marty) Keib, Carl Jr. (Lori) Murawski, Joyce (Vince) Minko, Michael Murawski, Mark (Gail) Murawski and the late Paul Murawski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Dorothy attended high school at Mt. Nazareth Academy and nursing school at Mercy Hospital in Altoona. She also graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Education. Dorothy was the beloved Brentwood School Nurse for 25 years. She was an active member of numerous nursing clubs and the community. She was most proud of her Polish heritage. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral prayer at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church at 10:30 a.m.
