Dr. Husein M. Taherbhai, age 80, peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Fatema Taherbhai; loving daddy of Shazeena Taherbhai and the late Shanbreen Taherbhai; brother of Dr. Akil (Nafisa) Taherbhai and the late Yusuf Taherbhai and Fatima Mandviwala. Also survived by a wide circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers. Husein received his Ph.D at the University of Florida and worked as a research scientist/psychometrician for many years. He also was an accomplished writer, poet and painter. Husein was often the most joyful man in the room and will be dearly missed. Husein and his wife Fatema proudly and humbly founded The Shanbreen Education Center in Nepal. Husein and his family embraced quiet charitableness as a cornerstone of their lives. As per Husein's wishes, funeral services were held privately and lovingly. Arrangements handled by the John F.
