January 31, 1952 - October 23, 2019

Olson, Earl R., Sr., age 67, on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, of West Mifflin.

Husband of Kathleen B. (Bruce) Olson; father of Ellen C. (Mark) Bowytz, Earl R. (Lian) Olson II, Matthew T. Olson, Emily A. (Jeremy) Sturkie; grandfather of Gillian, Kaden, Noah, Megan and Addison; brother of Barbara Seller, Chester Olson, Pauline Hartwell, Rosemary Price and the late Luella Johnson, Clifford, Junior, David and Linda Olson. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 11:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 N. Randolph St., Suite 225, Arlington, VA 22203.

    Just always remember how much your dad and husband loved all of you especially his wonderful grandkids. Itâ??s is maybe not comfort today but it will be soon knowing he is always watching over each of you and that now you have a very special guardian angel.
