I met Ed at Toy Hoa Air Base, Republic of South Vietnam. We were both Bomb Loader for the 308th Tactical Fighter Squadron. We lived in the same "Chicken Coop" for about seven months just a few bunks away fro each other.. Great guy and was liked by all. There were three of our from PA loading bombs and Ed being the oldest Claimed the right to be called "Big Brother", Rodger Laube from Chester, PA was Middle Brother and I was born and raised in Brownsville, Pa so I was :Little Brother". I still have a picture of Ed hanging on a wall of the "I Love Me" Room. We would talk and laugh for hours sometimes. I miss my Big Brother. RIP "Big Brother" I have the watch"!

Ed was my best friend in Prospect Park in the 50's. I remember many times we went to the show together and stayed for the double headers. My sister Marguerite Ed and I would trick or treat together and instead of soaping car windows we used wax. We didn't mean any harm then but today I realize the trouble we caused many car owners. Today my wife and I live in Martins Ferry Ohio and I just found out on Google of Sweety Bears passing. Anyone from St Elizabeths that remember me my email is cyclops120@yahoo.com dont hesitate to message me.

I just saw this, and am at a loss for words. Ed was the best person I've ever known ... a heart as big and as humble as they come. My own breaks at knowing he is gone. I will never forget all they joy and laughter we shared. - he was extraordinarily special to me, and a man that will be in my heart until the day it is time for me to leave this earthly journey. RIP, dearest Ed ... may the heavens reward you with all the joy and peace you are due. Jeff, you have my deepest condolences.

Family and Friends of Ed Tech, May God comfort and support you in the time of your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Ed was a dear friend, classmate, and inspiration to all who knew him. Ed was the glue that kept our class together thru the years. He cared deeply and unconditionally for the Baldwin High School Class of 1963. He was always kind, supportive and gracious. He was also an Air Force Veteran who proudly served our country. We will miss his dedication, passion and most of all his love. "Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14: 1 -3 God Bless and Keep You, Lou Slautterback and family (Susan and Bethany) Baldwin High School 1963
