We were so sad to hear of Ed's passing. We knew him as a wonderful neighbor and a quiet, tireless organizer of our annual corn roast. He was the man who kept this amazing tradition together for decades. We have fond memories of the after-roast get-togethers hosted by Ed and Elaine, when we would hear stories about the history of our neighborhood from some of the "old-timers." May your memories of your dad and grandpa comfort you.

When we joined Hope in 1992 Ed and Elaine quickly drew into the family of Hope. They were the ultimate caregivers in the congregation and we suddenly began helping them serve meals at Pleasant Valley Shelter for homeless men. Ed was quiet yet outgoing and a man of tremendous faith. I know that he and Elaine are rejoicing together and also busy caring for all in Heaven. Our deepest condolences Eric Missy and Josh.

What a great picture of Ed. I always thought his smile was so genuine and it is captured perfectly in this picture! It shows his kindness and his fun spirit (a little mischievious, perhaps!). I worked at soup suppers with Ed for many years and as an active member of Hope, I crossed paths with him in more ways than I can count. He is greatly missed! Kathie Nelson
