Obituary For Edward J. Baumgart, Jr.

July 12, 1952 - July 11, 2019Baumgart, Edward J. Jr. Age 67, on Thursday, July 11, 2019, of Tennessee, formerly of Finleyville.

Beloved husband of 22 years to Debbie (Tkac) Baumgart; loving father of the late Andrew "Bummy" Baumgart; son of the late Edward J. Sr. and Marie (Meyer) Baumgart; stepson of the late Regina (Fogarty) Baumgart; brother of Bob "Butch" (Darlene) Baumgart, and the late Mary Ann (survived by David) Ritter. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish in St. Basil Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to a charity of one's choice in Ed's memory.

    It is with deep sorrow that I heard of Ed's passing. I have not seen him in many years, but he was a good friend all through school at St. Joe's. Until we meet again, my friend, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

    Ed was an old friend and neighbor from St. Joes. My brother and I went to school with him and his sister. I spent many hours working on the delivery truck with him in his family's beer distributorship. A good man all the way. Haven't seen him since his move to Tennessee, but will miss him and the memories. Rest in Peace.

    We have spent many hours with our very good friends Ed and Debbie. We will surely miss Ed's presence and his input to our conversations. He will be sadly missed buy us both and we look forward to many happy visits with Debbie in the near future. Stephen & Helen !!!!!!
