Obituary For Edward J. Schimmel

June 20, 1933 - September 9, 2018

Schimmel, Edward J., age 85, on Sunday, September 9, 2018 of Whitehall. Beloved husband of the late Olga (Moore); loving father of Laura A. (the late Louis) Mangiantini; cherished devoted PePaw of Sara (Christian) Cox; great-grandfather of Lily Cox and his great-granddogs Meiko and Ghost.; L.A.S. Edward Keating; brother-in-law of Theresa (Dave) Meadows. Edward was drafted and served as a mechanic in the Army until honorably discharged in the early 1950's. There will be no visitation and services will be held privately. If desired, family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

    Laura, Sara, Christian & Lily. I am so sorry for you loss. When your sad, just remember he is in heaven with the love of his life your Mom, Grandmother & Great Grandmother, I hope that will bring you joy to your broken hearts. I've only known him for a short time, funny & very nice guy. I will miss talking to him on the phone & laughing, him going to bingo with us and Of Course my Pepaw hugs every other Saturday.
