Obituary For Edward M. Willig

Surrounded by his loving family, Edward M. Willig, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Beloved husband of 55 years to Elizabeth (Putaro) Willig; devoted father of David (Della) Willig and Laura (Ken) Miller; grandfather of Caroline, Rachel, Olivia, Ian, Julia and A.J.; brother of Charles (the late Genevieve) Willig. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ed was a man of great faith and a longtime member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. He loved his family, and his grandchildren were his greatest joy. Ed was happiest on the golf course with his golf buddies and was affectionately known as “the social director.” No one was a stranger; he was a friend to everyone. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 2-8 pm. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 am.
