Mielnicki, Edward T. "Edge" "Edziu" Age 91, on Friday, June 24, 2016, of Carrick.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy P. (Grabsky); loving father of Kristine A. (Francis "Skip") Scheidter, Cynthia A. (James) Yates and the late Celeste A. Mielnicki; proud grandpap of Jay T. Yates; brother of Cecelia Murtaugh and the late Irene Jozwiak, Genevieve Hartz and Arthur and Daniel Mielnicki. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ed was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from J&L Steel (Southside) and was a longtime usher for the Pirates and Steelers. A special thank you to Heritage Manor for the compassion and outstanding care given to Ed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil Church at 10:30 a.m.
