Obituary For Elissa Sichi

Age 85, on Sunday, October 15, 2023, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Clairton.

Beloved wife of 62 years to Harry; loving mother of Christopher (Kelly), Jason (Christina) and the late Nicholas Sichi; proud Mimi to Christopher, Jr. (Kelly), Anthony and Sophia Sichi; daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Medore. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, October 19, 2023 form 2-4 p.m. where a blessing service will be held at 4:00 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 501 Martindale Street #670, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

    Mrs Sichi was an incredible friend to everyone. I grew up with Nickie, throwing rocks at cars to see who had better aim until the car coming over the hill was a police car. I don't remember our moms (MaryAnn --Conners--Williams) yelling at us. In fact I can't ever remember getting Mrs Sichi upset. She would secretly talk to my mom on the phone and laugh about their wild children and whose fault it was. I always felt safe and cared for. Moving away from the Sichis was a deep sadness, but our moms are in Heaven together now and I bet they haven't stopped talking yet!! Prayers and gratitude for such a wonderful woman.

    Harry I wish you and the family all the comfort possible with what you are going through. Having 62 years with Elissa was a blessing. I was in the Pleasant Hills area yesterday when I was told by Joe Tranchini and Gail Tullius about Elissa's passing. Unfortunately I am out of the area today and can't be at the viewing. It is difficult but with the support of your family I wish you the best possible. Bob Pyle
