  Barb & all of Mrs Fosters's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Your mom was a terrific lady. She always had a smile on her face & a warm greeting when you saw her. I've known her since our Sunday school days at Union Baptist Church. God Bless you at this difficult time. Betty was a wonderful person, a good friend, and the most Godly woman that I have known and has been an influence in my life and in my ministry as a pastor. God gave you the great gift of memory so that as long as you keep her in your mind and most importantly in your heart, she will never truly be gone.

  To the family of BETTY FOSTER, My deepest sympathy to your loss of ELIZABETH,(BETTY) as I called her name. I am deeply sadden by her passing. Betty always took the time to talk with me every Sunday at Union Baptist Church. When she married Her late husband Jim Foster,it too was a wonderful union. Both Jim and Betty were two the friendliest couple that enjoyed talking with every week at church or outside of church. I will cherish my last Christmas card from Betty that I received last year,even if it was 2 months later, as she went on to explain that she had some health issues, and was not able to send out cards for the holiday. I was touched by her even remembering me, and was able to send that card out to me. Betty made me smile every time. She took the time to talk with me and show her concerns for my life and health. After Union Baptist closed down, I know her family was a big part of the church and contributed much of their time to the growth of Union. Betty welcomed my family in the mid 70's as we joined the church. As I grew from a teenager into a man, I always enjoyed talking with Betty over the years even after the closing of UNION Baptist. I stayed in touch whenever I could with her and JIm through the years. I am just sorry I was not able to visit her when she moved into her apartment after Jim's passing a few years ago. I deeply regret not showing my appreciation for her kind words and comforting thoughts in the past year. She will remain in my thoughts for years to come. I will miss BETTY FOSTER, she was a wonderful warm person who made me smile, plus I will miss her hugs! I wish you all the best, during this time of your loss. She was a great person to know!   You are in our thoughts and prayers. Betty was one of the most godly people that I know and was a positive influence in my life and in my current ministry. She was a wonderful person and a good friend. Just remember that God gave you the great gift of memory. As long as you keep her in your minds, and more importantly in your hearts, she will never truly be gone.
