Of Brentwood, on Friday, January 9, 2026, nine days after her 98th NewYear's Eve birthday. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Carl Kleinsmith; loving mother of Marilyn (Mark) Manski and Jeff (April) Kleinsmith; grandmother of Howard and Marie Manski and Megan and Kaylee Kleinsmith; daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bies) Stefaniak; sister of the late Joseph Stefaniak, Emil Stefaniak and Emma Pjewac. Betty was a proud, lifelong resident of Brentwood. She was an avid gardener and reader, an amazing baker, and loved music and a good crossword puzzle. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4-8 p.m., where a Funeral Prayer will be held on Thursday morning at 9:15 followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish at St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Brentwood Public Library at brentwoodpubliclibrary.org or Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org.
