Obituary For Elsie Leona (Luko) Bohna

Age 84, of Castle Shannon, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She will be joining her late husband of 59 years, Eugene Paul Bohna in heaven. Loving and cherished mother to Jeannie Bohna (Brian) Cassidy, Kimberly Bohna (Timothy) Finocchi, Denise Bohna (Wade) Killen and Joanne Bohna. "Pretty Precious Grandma" to Brian Jr., Bradley, and Brett Cassidy; Alyssa and Dylan Finocchi; and Keegan, Ryan, and Shane Killen and her favorite grand dog Zoey. She is survived by many other family members and friends who loved her.

Her giggle will forever ring in our hearts and her dance moves will never be forgotten. She never missed an opportunity to tell everyone and anyone how "Blessed she was with her four beautiful girls". However, they were the ones truly blessed with their "beautiful mother". Her happiness shined brightest during family time and sleepovers. Dearest Elsie/Mom/Grandma, you lived your life deeply loved and it will continue in our hearts throughout eternity. We dearly miss you already.

Please join us in honoring the amazing lives of our beloved mother, Elsie as well as our cherished father, Eugene who we lost during Covid. Family and friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 p.m.

Our hearts are truly broken. We have been more than neighbors for almost 50 years. We still can't believe she is gone. Our deepest sympathies to all her "girls" because you have lost a jewel of a mother. A mother is the hardest thing to lose. But time will heal the loneliness of her passing, the pain will lessen and the memories of her will always be there. We miss her dearly. She was a great lady and a wonderful friend. May she rest in peace. Jan and Dave

Dear Jeannie, Kim, Denise & Joanne, We are so very sad to hear of your beautiful Mom's passing. She was beauty, class, elegance, as well as a fashionista with her outfits & accessories. 💕 Most of all she was always so kind & always had something nice to say whenever we saw her. My brother Brian hit the jackpot for Mother-in-Laws! Our condolences to all her beautiful daughters.❤️ Rest in Peace Mrs Bohna. We love you!❤️ — Martha & Kevin Collier.
