Eric John Marcinko, age 61, of Moon Township.

It is with sad hearts that we share that Eric's journey on this earth came to an end on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Although his passing came far too soon, those who knew and loved him find comfort in knowing that he lived a life that was truly full and colorful and he is now at peace.

Husband of Marla Marcinko; father of Cassidy, Katie (Robbie) and Nic (Sami); grandfather of Lachlan, Sylvie and Andrew; son of Joan and the late Andy Marcinko; brother of Beth (Chip) Edgar. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

From a young age Eric professed his faith in Christ. That faith was nurtured through family and friends. Though he walked through many hills and valleys in life, his faith was ever in his heart; showing the love and kindness of God, that he had experienced, to those around him.

Eric continuously expressed his gratitude for the life he lived and helped others see the importance in doing the same. He welcomed each day with positivity, kindness, and an open heart.

Eric had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. He was fun-loving, quick with a laugh, and had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room or bring a sense of joy where it may be lacking. He loved nature and being outdoors and enjoying its beauty. He loved music and enjoyed it with his many friends. He loved people wholeheartedly and accepted everyone for who they were, where they were and embracing their idiosyncrasies without judgment.

Eric often referred to himself as a “helper”. When he was able, he found genuine fulfillment in supporting others and making their lives a little easier. His kindness, compassion, and generosity touched so many lives, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will miss him terribly but take solace in the fact that he lives on in our heads and hearts. He truly loved all of us.
