Obituary For Ethel "Ginger" Betz

August 18, 1928 - October 9, 2016

Betz, Ethel "Ginger", age 88, on Sunday, October 9, 2016 of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of the late Paul; mother of Randy (Jan), Judi (Jim) Lydon and Gary (Susan); grandmother of Jennifer (Justin), Katie (Joe), Dana (Nicholas), Sally and Tim; great-grandmother of Noah, Mason and Lucy; sister of the late William (survived by Helen) Morrell. Also survived by loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Ginger's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Paramount-Bethel Park for the loving care they provided. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish in St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Alzheimer's Association - Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

    Judy, Randy, Gary and families, I can't think of a holiday or a summer or any time in my life when we were growing up that isn't full of wonderful memories of your mom...and dad and your family. And even in my adult life when they would come for our Oktoberfest's or just to visit. I'm sorry and sad but I know your mom has been reunited with Uncle Paul and they are smiling down on us.
