Age 94, on Monday June 15, 2020 of Baldwin Borough. Loving wife of the late Richard Dobbs; beloved daughter of the late James and Helen Sopoliga; sister to the late Velma Sopoliga and Dorothy (Chester) Marcinowski; loving and cherished mother of Diane (Ron) Krusienski, Sheree (Marty) Zelder, Jim Dobbs and the late Ricky (Janice) Dobbs; devoted grandmother of Michelle, Dean, Elizabeth, Jason, Jessica, Ryan and Dana; great-grandmother of Alexis, Kendal, Caden, Bria, Brooklyn and Julian. Evelyn was a beautiful light in this world and we are forever thankful to be her children. She lit up our lives with her kindness, love, laughter and generous spirit. She was tremendously proud of her family, faith and being Hungarian. The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at Whitehall Manor Care - Arcadia Unit. They cared for and treated our mother as if she was their own. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday June 18, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
