Obituary For Fay Wayman

Josephine Frances “Fay” McLynden Wayman (Knerr), age 80 of Southside on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our loving mother Fay Wayman. She was a strong and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Fay was born to the late Josephine and Herman Knerr on September 27, 1941. She is joining her loved ones in heaven including her husbands, Frank McLynden and John H. "Jack" Wayman. Fay was blessed with three daughters, Jay (Mark) Mastilak, Hattie (Mark) Curry and Holly (Steve) Farabaugh, seven grandchildren, Chelsea (Michael), Ryan, Allyson, Savannah, Kane, Kent and Kolette. She is survived by her sister Mary Ann Coll, her brother Donald Knerr and her lifelong friend Janey Kwiatkowski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary of the Mount Church, 403 Grandview Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15211 at 10:00 a.m.
