Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Lawrence W. Haywiser; loving mother of Mark (Ellen), Ruth Ann (David) Grisnik; Keith (Julie), Jean (John) Hensler, Judy (Richard) Brueggman and Eric (Leah); cherished Grandma of Fr. Isaac (Paul) O.S.B., Peter, Luke (Lindsay) and Stephen Haywiser, Ryan (Alexa) and Emily Grisnik, Cory (Mary) Haywiser, Chelsea (Jason) Rodemoyer, Allison (Adam) Dillner, Sean (Hannah) Hensler, Lauren (Cole) Wintheiser, Brittney (George) Barr, Holly (Josh) Tamburello, Grace (Joshua) Kimes, Diana Brueggman and Elsa, Ada and Clara Haywiser; Great-Grandma of Sarah, David, Abigail and Esther Barr, Anne and Sylvie Dillner, Lucas and Hudson Haywiser, Vivian and Everett Rodemoyer and Benjamin Kimes; daughter of the late Anna and Joseph Bayer. Sister of Joseph (Ann) Bayer, Mary Elizabeth (Dennis) Kumpfmiller, William (the late Dolores) Bayer, Frank (Mary) Bayer, Helen Mae (the late Richard) Setzenfand, Roberta Bayer, Anna Jane Bayer and the late Eleanor (David) Devlin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Flo's life was focused on her family. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with the St. Elizabeth Seniors and hosting special holiday gatherings. Flo spent her early years working in Bayer's Dairy where she developed an affinity for ice cream. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 1 Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 or a charity of your choice.
