Francis L. "Frank" O'Leary, Jr. age 90, passed peacefully on August 2, 2026, of Baldwin, formerly the Hill District. Husband of the late Kathleen "Toots" O'Leary; son of the late Frank and Clara O'Leary; loving brother of Peggy (the late John) Guthrie, the late Patrick (Margie), John (survived by Betsy), Eileen, and James (survived by Theresa). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Keith, Kenny, Linda, and their families. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He maintained his relationships with his classmates from Central Catholic, and served as an alter boy for many years at Holy Trinity. He was a proud Irishman whose life was centered on faith, family, and kindness. A devoted uncle, brother, and friend, he deeply loved his family and faithfully honored those who had passed by visiting their graves each day. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand, whether caring for a neighbor’s yard, supporting a charity, or simply being there for someone in need. A lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, he proudly held Steelers season tickets and cheered on the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins with unwavering loyalty. He enjoyed his daily walks at South Park, South Hills Village Mall, treasured his beloved dog, McGurk, and will be remembered for his generous heart, humble spirit, and the countless lives he touched through his quiet acts of love and compassion. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to your favorite charity.
