Age 71, of Castle Shannon, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 surrounded by family.

Beloved son of the late Frank J. Jr. and Audrey J. Vatter; loving brother of William C. (Lynn) Vatter, Linda K. (Greg) Guenther and Deborah A. (Ken) Keck. Also survived by his devoted, longtime furry companion, Bentley "Little Guy" and several nieces and nephews. Frank worked with the Laborer Union Local #373. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, Castle Shannon. Buddy had a keen sense of humor and was an avid sports fan, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. Frank will be deeply missed by his family and many loving friends.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at noon, in the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. chapel. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, located at 2900 Washington Road in Peters Township.
