Obituary For Frank W. Fisher

October 17, 1959 - August 8, 2014

Fisher, Frank W.

Age 54, on Friday, August 8, 2014, of Whitehall Beloved husband of Jeanna; loving father to Candice and Marley; cherished baby brother of Gary (Darlene), Mary Ann, and Sue. Dearly missed son-in law of John Farabaugh and brother-in law to John, Jr (Beth), Steve (Holly), Ron (Kay), Joy (Joe), Tom (Jan) and 20 nieces and nephews. Frank will always be known for his mischievous sense of humor and love of playing pranks on his siblings and neighbors as a youth which carried over to his family and co-workers as an adult. An avid horror movie and music fan, Frank's favorite band was Styx, but he could stump just about anyone at a round of music and B-movie trivia. He was an extremely talented and dedicated manager for almost 30 years with YUM brands, and was also known to be quite the tennis player and enjoyed bowling, where he met his wife. He will be dearly missed by all fortunate enough to make his acquaintance. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Monday, August 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. followed by burial at Jefferson Memorial Park.

Mary Ann, Sue and Gary, I was saddened to read of the passing of Frank. I do remember growing up and what a "character" he was. I still fondly remember him especially on rainy mornings and will say to my family, oh, this is a Frankie Fisher moment. My thoughts are with you and all of you family at this sad time.

There are no words. You raise your head & see that everyone has experienced this in some way. How can we carry on? Think of how he would want you to....making others laugh, reliving the wonderful memories, love as he taught you. Live out his dreams for you. Does the pain EVER go away? No, nor should it, but with time, your tears turn into laughter, appreciation as you remember how blessed you are to be called his daughter. Yes, that's what keeps us going. I'm so glad that your wonderful Dad didn't suffer, Candice, my hope for you is that you find peace as you go through this process. Remember the great times!

Oh Candice, I am so sorry for your loss! It sounds like your dad was such a fun guy, and I'm sorry I was one of the unlucky enough to have never met him. Everyone should have as much fun in life. I know there are no words that make it any easier, but I want to express my condolences and send you hugs across the miles. We will be thinking of you and your family. All my love to you all.
