Obituary For Gary M. Zurawsky

Age 65, passed peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024, of Beechview. Loving father of Garrick (Sara Steimer) Zurawsky and Lauren (Jasmine Mitts) Zurawsky and their mother, Kathy (Tester) Zurawsky; beloved son of Adeline and the late Eugene Zurawsky; cherished brother of Gene (Karen) Zurawsky and Lisa (John) Donovan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gary worked for the majority of his life at Allegheny General Hospital. He had a love of music and a great sense of humor. Gary brought joy and happiness to everyone around him. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. where a Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. If desired, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, CORE, 204 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 or National Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney St., Suite 205, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.

    I work with Gary for 6 years and I became friends with him. We would tell jokes to each other every day at work and grew great bond too , I will miss Gary !! I Bet he is telling jokes in Heaven !! Love Keith

    It was such a pleasure to know and work with Gary during my time as a nurse at AGH. He was such a kind person and a hard worker. I am so sorry for your loss.
