Koenig, George Edward Age 91, peacefully at home, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, of Baldwin Boro.

Beloved husband of Madeline R. (Dayde); son of the late Ferd and Anne; father of Linda (Daniel) Bulford, Greg (Gina), Nancy (Kevin Knobby) Walsh and David (Jan) Koenig; grandfather of Jennifer, Julie, Brandon, Briana, Sabrina, Miranda, Dustin, Dominic, Katrina, Shane, Samantha and Cassidy; step grandfather of Amanda and Dan; great-grandfather of Riley, Delaney, Brayden and Caden and expecting two more on the way; brother of Ferd, Dorothy, Joan, Paul and the late Girlie, Amelia and John. George was employed by the Pittsburgh Press for four decades. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had a strong faith and lived for his children. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Friday, January 4, 2019, 3-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict The Abbot Church at 10:00 am.
