Obituary For George F. Keiser, Jr.

Age 65, of Whitehall, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Beloved husband of Donna (Fishburn) Keiser for 31 years; proud father of Andrea (Kyle) Utz of Columbus, OH and Alex (Cassie) Keiser of Upper St. Clair; son of George Keiser Sr. and the late Anne Keiser of Mt. Lebanon; cherished brother of John (Tomi) Keiser and Robert (Karen) Keiser; and adored grandpaw to Boo, Nova, and Birdie. Also survived by sister in-laws & brother in-laws, aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and many friends, co-workers, and clients.
George was a fighter with a positive attitude during his 13-year battle with prostate cancer. As the eternal optimist, he was an inspiration to us all. He was known to run a mean model train set, could fix anything around the house, grew beautiful orchids, and loved listening to music, especially the Doobie Brothers. He enjoyed all Pittsburgh sports, and you could find him rocking a Pittsburgh t-shirt most days of the week.
As a CPA for over 33 years in the South Hills, George was beloved by his clients. Former treasurer of the Pi Sigma Alumni Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity who was instrumental in re-establishing the undergraduate chapter at the University of Pittsburgh.
At the end of the day - George was a wonderful husband, an amazing father, a loyal son & brother -- a good man. We will miss him every day.
Friends and family will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday October 4, 2023 and Thursday October 5, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, at 10:00 a.m. Prayer service will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, the family suggests donations be made to Stand Up to Cancer at www.standuptocancer.org <http://www.standuptocancer.org> or the Pi Sigma Association at www.pittfiji.org/graduates <http://www.pittfiji.org/graduates>

To the Keiser family, My deepest condolences. I know George meant very much to each and every one of you. I can remember the times he'd come pick Alex, Ethan, Sean, and I up from a variety of outings. He'd always let us play our favorite tunes and unleash the full potential of the sound system in his TL. He always knew how to keep things fun and entertaining and chose meaningful moments to teach me things and share stories from his younger years. I most of all appreciate George for always making me feel welcome in his home and company. I know he'll be watching after all of his loved ones as we carry on. All my love - Miller
