Obituary For George H. Feldman

Age 90, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Beloved husband of the late Therese Feldman; loving father of Karen (Kenneth) Hayes and the late Kenneth and Ronald Feldman; pap to Atalie (Matthew) Ockree, Daniel (Jennifer) Hayes, Katelyn (Michael) Lee, Emily Hayes (Michael Doonan), Jakob Hayes, Lauren Rankin, Thomas Feldman and Stephanie Feldman; Great-Grandpap of five. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. George served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked for the IBEW Local #5 until his retirement. He loved gardening, cooking his favorite sauce, the PA Lottery and most of all his grandchildren. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. A celebration service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the John F. Slater Funeral Home Chapel followed by full military honors. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Alzheimer's Association - Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 2835 E. Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.

    Dear Karen and family, I initially heard about the passing of your dear father from our cousin Scott. We all loved George, as we did your mother and brothers. He was a very kind man, a good man, full of loving kindness, and a great sense of humor like your Mom. I have the fondest memories of George. I hope all in your family are doing well.     Joyce and Ralph Ramella

    Dear Karen, Kenney and Family, We were so saddened to hear about George's passing. We were lifelong friends and we miss George. We planned on visiting George, but Ralph broke his femur in Jan. and was in rehab. We missed seeing the newspaper obituary in time so we could not pay our final respects. Our sincere sympathies to all. Rest in peace dear friend, Ralph and Joyce Ramella.
