Age 93, on Friday, January 23, 2026, of Baldwin Boro formerly of the South Side.

Beloved husband of 58 years to Judith A. (Marcey); loving dad of Karen (Phil) English, George A. Bertha, Kerri (Shawn) McClory and Elizabeth R. Bertha; proud "Bubup" of Lyndsey (Brandon) School, Aedan McClory and Liam McClory; great-grandfather of Saphira, Ezraela and Adira; brother of the late Lorraine (Henry) Suskiewicz. Also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. George was a loyal friend to many. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He also was a retired postal employee. George was a devoted servant of the Blessed Virgin Mary and was happiest spending time with his family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish at St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 am.
