Obituary For George Ogg

December 29, 1926 - August 27, 2017

Ogg, George Age 90, peacefully with his family by his side, on Sunday, August 27, 2017, of Whitehall, formerly of Mt. Washington.

Beloved husband of 63 years to Doris Jean (Gray); loving father of Gary (Betty Ann), Georianne (Jack) Prahl, Leslie McGrath, George F., Shawn and Kelly Butelli; proud pap-pap of Brandon, Rachel, Jonathan, Paul Sean, Casey, Maggie, Alex, Samantha, Reno and Ashley (Devon) Orsi; great-grandfather of Nolan, Amarah and Lycan; uncle of Margaret Sarver and George DeVault; life-long friend to Henry Colantoni and Kenny Nowacki; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was business agent and V.P. of Teamster Local #249 and proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Marine Corp. George was also a member of VFW 1810, A.O.H. Division 1, and former member of Knights of Equity Court #9. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Sunrise Assisted Living in USC and Three Rivers Hospice for their wonderful care. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday Morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel Church at 10:30 a.m.. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin School, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15236.
