Obituary For Gerard B. Bachner

Age 95, on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 of Baldwin Borough.

Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Potts) Bachner; loving father of Robin (Paul) Falk, Ruth Ann (Greg) Witmer, Judy (Keith) Brula, Gerette (Todd) Naylor and Stephen (Lisa) Bachner; cherished grandfather of Dan (Joanna), Nathan, Wade (Sevahna), Matt (Nikki), Jacob and Will; great-grandfather of Gunner, Chloe and Wolfe. Gerard was a member of IBEW #5 and the American Legion Post 540. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m.

    Steve, I am so sorry about your father's passing. I was actually at the cemetery visiting my parents grave, when I noticed the flowers at your parents' grave. He is at peace with your mom. May the many memories you have of him guide you and your family through this difficult time.
