February 13, 1933 - March 15, 2018

Schuler, Gerard P. "Rard" Age 85, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, of Overbrook.

Beloved husband of Anna (Sites) Schuler for 65 years; loving father of Theresa Gruener, Michael (Teri) Schuler, Joseph Schuler, Judy (Michael) Grasmick and the late James Schuler and Germaine Villa; grandfather of Mark (Niki) Gruener, Doug (Maho) Gruener, Michael (Stacie) Schuler, Ryan Schuler, Lindsay (Ryan) Klousnitzer, Loryann (Joseph Caimi) Nelson, Amanda and Jesse Schuler, Anna, Brad, Stephanie and Kristen Villa; also survived by his 11 great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 6-8 p.m and Monday, March 19, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish in St. Norbert Church at 10:30 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    Mr. Schuler was such a kind, kind man. He stayed so positive during some very heart-breaking times. I know he will be greatly missed. I count it an honor that I had the chance to meet him. My love, prayers and sympathy to the family who loved him so very much.
