Obituary For Germano "Babe" Papi

Age 80, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 19, 2021. Beloved husband of late Teresa F. Papi. Loving father of Janine Kerr, Russell Papi, and the late Lisa M. Papi; beloved grandfather of Jenna Kerr (Sam Walton), Julia Kerr and Jina Kerr. Services will be held privately. Arrangements handled by John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, Pa 15227. If desired, family suggests contributions to Gallagher Hospice, 1370 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, Pa 15017.

    A limb has fallen from the Papi family tree. We now see a brightest new star in the sky. If "Babe' was here I would hear him say, do not grieve for me. Remember the best times, the laughs, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.......and we do. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling because the sun Is shining on me now. My mind is at ease my soul is at rest; remembering you all and how I was truly blessed with my precious mother, my brothers, sister and family. We have a wonderful history. My memories are "golden". Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your lives. Keep up your chins until the day we are all together again. I remember my brother "Babe" as so giving and caring to so many. What a guy!. Although his last year was troubling, he is now whole and remembering beautifully. There is millions of stars in the heaven, thousands and thousands of flowers and trees, hundreds and hundreds of mountains and seas, everything multiplied over and over, awesome people to think the world of, robins and butterflies flying through the day, but........................................there is only one "Babe".     I am very sorry to hear of the passing of a very good friend from my past. Jerry was my friend many years ago during my early years in Pittsburgh and helped me through some rough times with my Father.     So sorry to hear of Babe's passing he was a dear friend of our dad's Reo. We would see him sitting on the porch occasionally as we drove by beeping and waving. I'm sure they are sharing a beer and shot together. Condolences from the Gonano family
