Obituary For Gloria J. Ulbrich-Fritz

Age 78, unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2026, of Whitehall, formerly of Lawrenceville.

Loving mother of Genevieve L. Fritz and Jonathan E. (Justine) Fritz; proud Gramma of Alexandra, Logan, Conner, Rosella, Ethan and Olivia; cherished sister of Charlotte (the late Regis) Ritz. Also survived by and missed by Victor Fritz, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gloria had a full and rewarding career teaching middle school health and home economics for the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Her true calling, however, was being a loving mother and "gramma." In retirement, she loved cooking, gardening, crochet, watching movies, playing games, hosting an online community website and singing Whitney Houston with her parrot Cappy. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 11:30 a.m.
