Obituary For Grace L. (May) Shearer

Age 92, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Wayne B. Shearer; loving mother of Steven B. (Candace) Shearer, Thomas B. (Cynthia) Shearer and the late David A. (survived by Suzanne) Shearer and Joyce Shearer; caring grandmother of Kevin (Tiffany) Shearer, Kristin (David) Rathe, Tracey (Anthony) DeFrancesco, Todd Shearer, Rachel Shearer and Rebecca (Joseph) Brown; proud great grandmother of Aubrey, Emily, Jackson, Landon, Aria and Otto; special friend of Norman Coliane. Grace was an organist for over 60 years for various churches in the South Hills area and a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home Chapel at 12:00 p.m.

    My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Have know your family since 1965 when my parents moved to Baldwin and we joined Zion . Fond memories of both of you parents and siblings with growing up with you, church, school and softball. Again my condoleces.
