Argentieri, Hedwig (Saftner) "Hedy" Age 89, on Saturday, November 26, 2016, of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of the late John J.; loving mother of John (Nancy), William (Eva) and Kenneth (Paula Hopkins) Argentieri; sister of Victor (Thelma) Saftner, and the late Sophie Duessel and Siegfried, Richard, Christian and Joseph (survived by Martha) Saftner; proud Nana of Dominic (Dr. Megan Dankovich) and Fr. Nick Argentieri, Leigh (Capt. David) Coogan and Louis (fiance V. Logan Waddell) Argentieri; great-grandma of Sonya and Sibyl Argentieri and James Coogan. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday at 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 1 Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 or American Diabetes Association, Two Chatham Center, Suite 1520, 112 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
