Obituary For Helen (Bosak) Ference

Age 92, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, of Baldwin Borough. Beloved wife of the late John Ference III; loving mother of Andrea J. Ference, MD, Matthew J. (Mary Ann) Ference, Michael J. (Gary Meyers) Ference, John J. (Lisa) Ference, DMD, Elaine J. Ference and Jennifer A. Ference; devoted grandmother of Stephen D. and Dylan J. Anderson and John N. and Christopher J. Ference; great-grandmother of Margaret Mary Ference and Isla Jane and Allen James Anderson. Helen worked at Joseph Hornes for over ten years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, baking, volunteering at her church and through The Greek Catholic Union and being surrounded by her family. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Parastas Requiem Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Divine Liturgy in St. Pius X Byzantine Catholic Church on Wednesday morning at 10:00. If desired, family suggests contributions to Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius, 3605 Perrysville Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15214.
