Obituary For Helen E. (Zych) Komlenic

Age 91, of Brentwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Wife of the late Edward T. Komlenic; loving mother of David M., Ronald (Sarah), Caroline (Louis) and the late John; caring Busia of Brennan, Alaina and Lukas; proud Great-Busia of Isaac and Iris; beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Zych; sister of the late Marie, Florence, Theodore, Edward and Chester. Helen was a hardworking administrator for the Pittsburgh Public School System until her early retirement at the age of 80. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish St. Sylvester Church at 10:30 a.m.

    I will miss Helen so much. I was her visiting nurse off and on for several years and she was such a joy to take care of. We especially enjoyed talking about our soap operas and keeping her updated. Rest In Peace Helen.
