Obituary For Helen W. Hawrylak

December 20, 1921 - October 10, 2018

Hawrylak, Helen W., age 96, peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 of Bethel Park, formerly of Mt. Oliver and Whitehall. Beloved wife of James for 71 years in September; loving mother of John (Roseann), Mary Anne (Eugene) Szestak, Joseph (Helen) and Jane (Richard) Drozd; cherished grandmother of Amy (John), Peter, Alex and Jonathan. Helen's family would like to thank Debbie, Jane, Chrissy, and Carol, Advanced Personal Care, and Gallagher Hospice for their loving care and compassion. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 1-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Germaine Church at 10:00 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.

    MaryAnn and Hawrlak family. Just learned of the passing of your dear mom. I remember her fondly from our school days. She always welcomed your friends to your hone and we had many a good time there. She was always friendly and kind and how blessed you were to have her these many years. My sympathy and prayers being sent to you all.
