Obituary For Helen W. "Honey" Schimborski

Age 94, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, of Pittsburgh.

Beloved wife of the late Regis E. Schimborski; loving mother of Denise (Tom) Maiden, Diane (the late Ricky) Hood and Dawn (Brian) Henderson; Beeb of Tom (Robin Pumphrey), Keith (Jamie), Kelly (Adam) Zundell, Jesse (Kwalyn) and Denny (Amanda). Great-grandmother of Keith, Jr., Kurt, Kyle, Kole, Drew, Tyler, Cara, Natalia, Natasha, Ryan, Remi and Greyson; daughter of the late Margaret and John Wesley Wyse; sister of the late Anna (Bill), Chuck (Helen), Tom (Coletta), Elizabeth (Rich) and Margie (Larry). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Sunday, September 27, 2026 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m.

    Beebaw took a shot of tequila for as long as she could go to the beach, and wore a white cover-up that had a cartoon lady in a bikini on it. She always knew how to have fun, and passed that onto her daughter, who I'm fortunate enough to call my grandmother.

    Honey was the sweetest lady. We met her when our mother was in the nursing home. She was always happy to spend time with my mom and all of us. We enjoyed her stories as we spoke of Eiseltown and her family. My mom Mary passed in July. She'll be happy to see Honey. Condolences to her family. Love, The Bartek Family.

    like my sister Tracy, my brother Jamie,, and myself,nothing but good memories I personally will never forget Christmas at their house when uncle Rege would dress up as Santa clause and literally come down from the roof and do presents,truly a most treasured "childhood memory of postcard Christmas" .Uncle Rege was also my sponsor for confirmation at St Norberts.
