Obituary For Howard I. Ritenbaugh, Jr.

Age 74, passed away on September 14, 2024, of Brentwood.

Beloved husband of fifty-one years to Helen E. (Coyle) Ritenbaugh; loving father of Sandy (Andy) Schubert and Scott (Michelle) Ritenbaugh; Devoted grandfather of Craig Schubert and Chris (Sophia) Schubert; adoring great-grandfather of Rosemary June Schubert; son of the late Howard I. and Lois Jean (Jackson) Ritenbaugh; brother of David and Jay Ritenbaugh. Howard was a faithful longtime member of the Hamilton Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be held at John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 on Monday, September 16, 2024, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10 a.m., at the Hamilton Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Hamilton Presbyterian Church, 4500 Hamilton Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    Howard was a good friend and was always willing to help with the Brentwood Band. He volunteered for many years with Helen. He will always be remembered for his kindness.
