Koch, Irene.(Decklar) Of Baldwin, passed peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2016.

Irene was born on October 27, 1924 to the late Freda and August Decklar. She is also preceded in death by her siblings Erma, Dallas, Jean, and Dorothy. Irene was an extremely hardworking woman, who was employed by Isaly's for many years. She was a devoted mother to her children, Kevin Koch and Jacquelyn Spina. She was also an active and fun-loving individual who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Cassandra Cusick, Gabrielle Spina, Jessica Spina, and Jacob Koch, who nicknamed her "Groos". She loved to dance and listen to music and fondly recalled dancing the polka in her younger years. Irene passed her love of music, dancing, cooking, gardening, and swimming to her grandchildren. She was a fighter to the end; a tough but fair and loving mother to her children and a kind and caring "Groos" to her grandchildren and great grandson, Cole Cusick. She lived a full and blessed life and although she has passed away, her spirit lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great grandson, who miss and love her deeply. A private family viewing was be held to celebrate Irene's life. Donations to the Alzheimer's foundation in Irene's honor are much appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to John F.
